FNB ACCOUNT FEES TO REMAIN UNCHANGED

By: Pamela Sibiya

FNB customers have until June 2017 to continue enjoying using their accounts without increased charges.

This is relevant on the bank’s most popular accounts including the Easy, Gold, Encore Gold and Premier Bundle accounts. This is part of the bank’s strategy to migrate customers to ditigal and electronic channels.

FNB Pricing Executive, Jo-Ann du Plessis said that they are determined to offer free services on most of their services and accounts.

“FNB is determined to continue offering the lowest priced entry level full-service account with our Easy Account, especially when customers consider they can conduct all their banking using our free transactions such as free card swipes, cash withdrawals at till-points, free internal debit orders and transfers as well as free EFTs into our accounts,” he said.

The bank also offers free cash at till withdrawals, free inContact, free subscriptions to Online Banking, FNB Banking App, and Cellphone banking, as well as free Cellphone banking mini-statements, and free FNB ATM, Cellphone Banking and Banking App balance enquiries.

du Plessis also added that the new features include streamlining of their accounts.

“We now offer two accounts, Easy and Gold, which significantly simplifies our entry and mid-level offerings. The Easy Account offers two pricing options for customers to choose from based on what will best suit their banking transactional behaviour; Pay as You Use for the low transactor and the Easy Bundle (previously the Smart Value Option) for the medium transactor,” he added.

CEO of Premium and Business Core Banking, James Fowle said that there is a slightly different approach with the Premier Bundle Account.

“In the Premium segment, we have maintained monthly fees for our Premier Bundled Account at previous levels and reduced overdraft fees for customers in good standing. We have further increased the value of free ADT deposits for these customers. We have announced a small increase, the first in two years, in our Private Clients monthly fee,” he said.

With these changes, FNB is determined to remain one of the most innovative banks in SA.

The award winning Flatfoot Dance Company will host its second annual four day dance Summer School from 16-19 December 2014. “This is an opporutnity for dancers to have great fun, get themselevs into shape and open up to a life changing dance experience.” says  Lliane Loots, Artistic Director of the company. Dancers will be nurtured and supported as they take on the challenge of dancing for four full days with Flatfoot Dance Company. The Summer School is designed for dancers from the age of twelve and upwards, and “all levels of ability are welcome”, assures Loots. All dancers will receive a certificate of attendance and participation on completion of the 2014 Summer School.

The technical dance training will work in Flatfoot’s own ‘African Release Technique’, which is “a confluence of Graham, Hawkins, Horton and the American Skinner Release Technique”, explains Loots. The Summer Intensive Teaching Team from the Flatfoot Dance Company includes Lliane Loots, Clare Craighead, Sifiso Khumalo, Sifiso Majola, Julia Wilson, Jabu Siphika and Zinhle Nzama.

There are two levels at which dancers can participate in the programme. The first option is the full four day Summer School Programme which will run from 9:30am to 3pm across the four days. There is also a second option to partake only in the four morning technique classes which will run each day from 9:30am – 11:15am.

The Summer School will take place at the Flatfoot Dance Studio and Square Space Theatre, both of which are on UKZN’s Howard College Campus, Durban.
